Education & Training

An important as well as a long-term benefit for academic research and industry is the education and technological training of students and Post Docs. It is the goal of FIRST to support the technical training and scientific education of young researchers at ETH Zurich.

FIRST users will be educated and trained on state-of-the-art and exploratory equipment and introduced to standard processes in micro- and nanotechnology. This will allow them to translate existing know-how into innovations.

General clean room and safety trainings (all mandatory for FIRST users):

Technical trainings:

• Specific equipment trainings
• HF wetbench training

Technical and scientific education:

• MBE user meeting (S. Schön)
• Photolithography user meeting
