Test of Evacuation Alarm System on August 6, 2015, 9 am - 10 am.
This will be a test and no evacuation exercise. You do not have to leave the cleanroom. In case of an emergency the evacuation message will explicitely inform you.
A new evacuation device was installed in the building HC 1 where FIRST-Lab is located. The evacuation alarm will be tested on August 6, 2015, between 9 am and 10 am. The alarm test will aim for a function test of the newly installed device and an audibility check at any place in the HC 1 building. You will here an evacuation message as loud as in the case of an actual evacuation alarm. Please note that you do not have to leave the cleanroom during the alarm test. However, it is recommended to wear hearing protection to prevent from hearing disorder. Hearing protection will be provided at the main entrance of HC 1, level D, by the Safety Department of ETH Zurich.
